November 14, 2016: Hyundai India has launched the second generation of the Tucson for India, with prices starting at Rs 18.99 lakh for the petrol variants, and at Rs 21.59 lakh for the diesel. The Tucson will feature a total of five variants and encompass two engine and two transmission options, with the AWD model expected to arrive on Indian shores by April next year. Notably, there is no four-wheel drive variant on offer yet. The SUV will fill the slot left between the Creta and the Santa FE in Hyundai India's lineup. The 2016 Tucson flaunts contemporary vision with the hexagonal grille, dual projector LED headlights and DRLs at the front, 18-inch alloys on the sides and the rear profile offers wraparound tail lamps. Inside, the SUV gathers an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with other niceties offered with the recently launched Elantra.
